To and fro Vlieland

The Willem Jacob sails every Monday and sometimes on Tuesday from Ter­schel­ling to Vlieland and back during the summer holidays. You can board at 09:30 in the morning and make the wonderful sailing crossing to Vlieland. That doesn't take very long, because you can already see Vlieland and the harbour is on the east side of the island. Depending on the weather and wind, we will arrive at ap­proxi­ma­te­ly 12:00. If you want, you can have a hearty lunch on the ship before you disembark to view this small, but oh so nice Wadden island.

You can rent bicycles at the harbour or you can take a nice walk on the beach and cross the dunes to end up at the pleasant village of Oost-Vlieland. Here you can eat in one of the many nice res­tau­rants. Or you can cycle to Kroon's polders and spot the many birds that breed and forage here.

Make sure you are back on time, because the Willem Jacob leaves for Ter­schel­ling at 19:00. If you haven't eaten yet, you can do so on board. Both lunch and dinner are not included in the price and must be ordered in advance. Finally, we arrive at Ter­schel­ling with a setting sun at ap­proxi­ma­te­ly 21:30.
