>

Do I need to be able to sail?

No. No experience is required. There is always someone with experience on board who is happy to explain everything.

>

Should I help?

Participation is welcome and even encouraged, but not required.

>

Should I bring a sleeping bag?

No, that is not necessary. Each bed is equipped with a pillow and duvet.

>

What should I bring?

  • Sailing suit or rain gear

  • Warm sweater

  • Sunglasses

  • Sunscreen Kit bag Towel

  • If we are going to run aground: old sneakers to protect your feet when walking on the mudflats. Possibly swimwear

>

What do I leave at home?

Suitcases, these are not easy to store on board. Other luggage is always possible.

>

Will I get seasick?

Never say never, but there are not that many waves on the mudflats. If we cross a sea inlet, it can sometimes be rocking. This never lasts long. If you know that you are sensitive to motion sickness, etc., you can consider getting a remedy (patches or pills) from the chemist.

>

Why does a trip to the next island, which I can see, take so long?

Can't it last a bit longer, is it over already? Another way of thinking. The trips last as long as they do because we sail from port to port and not to the next beach, we have to navigate around and over shallows; the ferry from Harlingen to Terschelling also has to make a huge turn to get to its destination, we make the journey the destination and in this way we can share some of the fun and sport of sailing.

>

Can I take a dog with me?

Please inquire with the organizer by email. A dog is not allowed on an overnight trip.
